“Enables you to install the language files for those
languages that are not installed on Windows XP by default. (Most languages are
already installed.) Installing the language files enables you to enter and
display text in these languages. Select Install files for complex script and
right-to-left languages to install the language files for Arabic, Armenian,
Georgian, Hebrew, the Indic languages, Thai, and Vietnamese. Select Install files for East Asian languages to
install the language files for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Input Method
Editors (IMEs) are also installed for each of the three languages. It is recommended that you install the files only if
you need them. The East Asian files require about 230 megabytes of hard disk
space. The complex script and right-to-left languages do not use much disk
space, but installing either set of files might cause some slowdown in
performance when entering text. You must be an administrator on this computer to
install these additional languages. Once installed, the languages are available
to all users on this computer.” |
